gouache paintings. subject derived from Big Ben’s clock face and the gothic style favoured by Augusta Pugin, colours inspired by the stain glass windows housed in many of his buildings. Linear designs draw the eye upwards giving the tall, uplifting feel that is said to be the sensation experienced by many when standing in his structures or looking up at them.
